The sun and our apartment

When I wake up in the morning the sun is on the wrong side of the apartment.  The sun is out!  It should be warm in here, but no.  I have to turn on the heater in the morning because the large sliding glass door/window is emanating freezing-ness rather than warm sunshine.  It is on the same wrong side again when Beckett is going down for a nap, beaming brightness into his bedroom window when he'd prefer it at least somewhat dark.  Oh well.  I guess I shouldn't be complaining when we have the only apartment in our complex with a sweet view of the ocean and Del Mar fairgrounds.

The trouble with "Ashley"

I promised I'd tell this little side story, so here it is...

Jeremy and I when we first met probably talked the most about snowboarding, and I mentioned that in a few days my family was going to stay at the cabin in Big Bear we had a sort of time share at.  He said that he had a season pass up at Bear Mountain, and we should meet up because he was planning to go one of the days I would be up there.  Well our plans weren't very concrete or anything, so I didn't see him and Danny up there even though we definitely had gone snowboarding at the same place on the same day.  While I was there, however, I had something funny happen.  Now, this experience is not uncommon for me, so I wasn't surprised when I heard a few people shouting my name.  I couldn't tell where it was coming from, so I ignored it as I usually do.  This is because I have the most common name ever and have made the mistake too many times of turning and/or saying "what?" when the person saying my name wasn't meaning it for me.  Years later (I'm not sure if it was before or after Jeremy's mission), we talked about this day and how we never saw each other.  Jeremy told me that him and Danny spent the whole day on the mountain trying to find me by shouting "Ashley!" at every girl they saw below while they rode the ski lifts.  I couldn't stop laughing because, as it turned out, I had heard them after all.

Zoo Day

For almost the last year we have had zoo/wild animal park passes and only used them the first day we got them.  Jeremy had been asking for some time if we could go to the zoo which I told him was not even as cool as the wild animal park, but we finally went.  It was pretty fun and we didn't get rained on surprisingly!

The Stones Keep Rollin'...

Milestones that is. I feel like the last two weeks Beckett has done so much! He started crawling two weeks ago Friday, and I don't think it will be too long before he is walking because he already pulls himself up on everything in sight. Proof...
He has even started walking along the couch, and will sometimes get balanced and then take both hands off and stand unassisted for a few seconds!  Also, his first tooth started coming in last week! He is loving learning to chew and mash everything with his gums and one little toothy.

Happy Birthday to the ground!

Twenty five is old.  This video helps me feel better about it though.  (Sorry in advance for the curse word at 1:47  and how it gets a little crazy at the end, but it's my birthday and I love it!)

The moral of the story is...You can't trust the system!

Hair...

Please start growing soon. I mean both ways if you please. I need you to come back to your pre-baby thickness. I wouldn't mind you growing in length too. Here are some motivations and reminders of what you might want to look like. Thanks.
